ANZAC Hall Featherston

A remarkable survivor from a different time.

Each year we are fortunate to time Wellington Masters Cycling's Lake Wairarapa Cycle Challenge based in Featherston with registration and lunch/prizegiving at the ANZAC Hall.

Celebrating its centenary on 16 October 2018, the ANZAC Club (Hall) was built by subscriptions from families of Wairarapa settlers to provide a Club for the hundreds of men encamped for basic training at the Featherston Camp.

On completion of training the men were marched from Featherston over the Rimutaka Hill to Wellington for embarcation to War.
