.... but the clothes were distinctly muddier at the finish
Mid morning drizzle and cloud changed to heavy rain, creating name perfect conditions for the Secondary Schools Tough Guy and Gal run over the hills and Tough Guy obstacles at Christian Youth Camp in Ngaruawahia.
Azael Withers from Hamilton Christian School took male line honours, with Matamata College's Rowan Torckler taking line honours and also achieving the fastest time for females.
St Paul's Collegiate's female team, and Hamilton Christian School's male team took the hard-earned Toughest school awards.
