... greeted the walkers and early start marathon runners for their early morning start.
Based at Massey University's Palmerston North Campus, the Marathon, Half Marathon, 10k, and 5k courses enable entrants to enjoy aspects of Palmerston North's well developed Manawatū river bank and He Ara Kotahi pathways.
A strong field enjoyed good running conditions. Auckland's Malcolm Gray and Whanganui's Mignon Stevenson took line honours in the Marathon Walk, with Palmerston North's James Conwell, and Feilding's Anita Chan taking line honours in the Marathon Run.
