An unexpected loop.

Our return journey from Ahipara and Kaitaia would normally take us down SH1. 

We were somewhat surprised to be.turned off onto Peria Valley Road and then winding our way in the Transit via Oruru Road to SH10. Considerably slower but country we had not seen before.

Once out on the Coast we had a pleasant stop at Cable Bay and Coopers Beach before heading South to rejoing SH1 and our days destination in Orewa.
