Nature's Dress Circle

The Ruahine Dress Circle Reserve viewed from the lookout on  Ruahine Road on the Manawatu Scenic Route. Early settlers named this reserve from the fact that when they saw the surrounding papa cliffs; they were reminded of the dress circle in an opera house.
