Dog completes 24km run ..
... from Anakiwa to Picton.
Picton's annual Marina 2 Marina events offer (adult) competitors three unique options: The Link, a challenging 24km run from Anakiwa to Picton, out to the Snout and back, the 9km Marina to Marina, or a 2k Kids Dash were all keenly competed options in Picton's annual Marina2Marina.
Marlborough Boys' College's Gus Marfell showed his class winning the Link with a 6 minute margin over Blenheim's James Smith. Nory Lansing was first female home in the Link, with Emily Marfell second.
Special mention should also be made of Stuart Barnes completing the 24k in a respectable 2:06 - with his dog.
Another younger entrant, Porirua's Will Anthony won the challenging 13k Snout Run.
Picton's Alex Browne was first boy home in the Kid's Dash, with Evie Hellstrom winning the girl's Dash.
