2020 Te Houtaewa Challenge
62km along Te Oneroa-a-Tohe to Ahipara ...
.. and in the tradition of Te Houtaewa each Ultra Marathon runner was carrying a kumera.
This year saw a changing of the guard as event organiser Peter Kitchen had passed the mantle and challenge to Teresa and her team.
Entrants were treated to the generosity of Tikanga Māori from the welcome, through to the challenges before the start of each race, the challenge Tom Keeler received as Ultra Marathon winner, through to the event village and prizegiving.
