2018 AIMS Games Cross Country
The 2018 Anchor AIMS Games opens in style
Waipuna Park was packed on Sunday with thousands of children competing in the 15th annual Anchor AIMS Games Cross Country races.
Ice on the grass at the start of the morning soon disappeared under sunny blue skies.
The year 7 girls and boys, the Para athletes, and the year 8 girls and boys all competed for individual, and school honours before the last exciting event of the day - the Championship School Relay which saw teams of twelve each complete a one kilometre lap in a highly contested event.
This year's relay winners were Otumoetai Intermediate in what we understand was a new record time of 40:29.86.
