The challenge at the foothills of Cape Kidnappers

A spectacular sunrise across Hawke Bay seemed appropriate for the amazing Tough Guy Challenge venue at historic Clifton Station. Clifton Station has been farmed by the same family for five generations, and the entrants were able to enjoy seeing some of the station's history during registration in the historic shearing shed.

But the challenge - and the reward - is the course, climbing up into Cape Kidnappers before descending back to the flat along the beach, through the water and mud, and back to finish in the yards.
