Great Forest Events 2018
The snow capped Tararua Ranges provided a magnificent backdrop to this year's Great Forest Events.
Great Forest Events is held annually in the scenic Matariki Forest at Waitarere Beach near Levin.
The course, run on forest roads with no vehicles to worry about, is a half marathon circuit and a two circuit marathon course giving views of the scenic Manawatu River. 10km and 5km Events are fun run/walks and families and schools are encouraged to enter. There are water stations and marshals along each route and plenty of shade.
