A stunning day ..
... and some stunning times in this year's Salmon Run.
The front from the Tasman dumped excessive rain in the Rakaia's catchment. With the river running high and fast the team called off the kayak leg to ensure competitors safety.
Race day dawned with clear blue skies matching the sunny disposition of the entrants
Paris Carroll took out the short duathlon from Brian Goodes and Ronnie Campbell. Richard Greer won the long duathlon heading off Phonse Carroll and Mike Hansen, with Flavio VIanna being awarded the mens Multisport, and Holly Weston the women's Multisport.
